Meet Plamena Mucheva, Senior ServiceNow ITSM Consultant at Do IT Wise. Starting in high school, her passion for IT continued to develop through the years and led her to the greatest achievements in her career.
Plami is one of the natural-born artists in the Wise team creating art through drawing and painting with various techniques. She is mostly spending her free time with family or hiking in the mountains.
I am…
Hello, my name is Plamena Mucheva. I studied at the High School of Mathematics & Natural Sciences in Sliven, where my interest in Information Technologies arose. Then I continued my education with Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science and Technologies at the Technical University in Sofia.
My IT career started during my studies as a developer in a huge Pharmaceutical company. For the five years I spent there, I gained fantastic experience and matured as a professional. Luckily, my path was crossed with Do IT Wise, and here I found my happily ever after till this moment.
My role in Do IT Wise
I am a Senior Technical Consultant, part of the IT Service Management (ITSM) team. What makes my job fulfilling are the various tasks and responsibilities I have to handle daily. It is oriented to developing solutions and customizations for our clients’ portals and making the necessary implementations regarding the ITSM processes on the ServiceNow platform – incident, change, problem, service catalog, etc.
To be successful in this role, you have to constantly expand your technical competencies and be up to date with the most recent updates. Therefore, I use different technologies in my daily work, such as JavaScript, Angular, HTML, CSS, Bootstrap, ServiceNow API, and more.
Moreover, I have the opportunity to directly communicate with the customers to learn the details about their business, make a comprehensive analysis of their cases and create the right solution for their specific needs. All of this is followed by making a structured and very detailed plan for our developers, minding all the clients’ requirements.
Why Do IT Wise?
Soon I will celebrate 4 years as a Wise team member. And like many great stories, mine started with losing something to get something better. My department in the previous workplace was dissolved and after that, I decided to take a little break before searching for another job. When I started in Do IT Wise, I realized that everything happened for a reason, and I felt so much happier. It was one of the first places I applied for. During the interview, we just clicked on so many levels by having similar mission and values. I found a place where I can develop myself further as a specialist and grow together with the company which was exactly what I was looking for.
And of course, as you may have heard before, the people are one of the main reasons to select exactly Do IT Wise. I found not just great colleagues creating this friendly and energetic atmosphere, but also many of them became close friends. I am a very social person, and I miss going daily to the office to bond with my teammates and make work even more pleasant.
What I love about Do IT Wise?
One of the things I love the most is that in Do IT Wise, you can go beyond your traditional role and expand your horizons, developing other skills parallelly. Even discover interests and talents I have never thought of before. As I already said, as an example, I am mainly a developer. Still, I am also involved in the whole project process – from speaking with the clients, gathering information and requirements, planning, estimation, and the actual technical implementation. Therefore, I can proudly say that I feel appreciated, and my opinion is valued in the company.
My favorite moment in Do IT Wise
Work hard, play hard. We are great in both! 🙂 One of my highlights is our Christmas party from a couple of years ago when we decided to sing “Byagstvo” by Avenue with our CEO and other team members as far as our talent allows. After watching the video, we quickly realized that we should not show it to a broader audience. But it is still one of my favorite memories. Another cherished moment in my heart was when my colleagues organized a surprise baby party with cupcakes right before I went on maternity leave. I am grateful for having people in the office who became close friends.
My biggest achievement
My greatest joy in life is my two precious daughters – Ilea and Georgia.
From a professional aspect, that is a project for one of the leading corporate and investment banks based in Austria. It was a challenge, and we had to constantly get out of our comfort zones to reach the client’s expectations and deliver the right solution. We traveled a lot and mostly worked on-site with them. All the people involved had a common goal, and this energy inspired everyone to give their absolute best. From this collaboration, I have learned so much about the proper work processes, teamwork, and having the bigger picture as your northern star from beginning to end. Now I try to implement this knowledge in every other project I take on.
My favorite family tradition
Christmas was always my favorite holiday, but now I can relive my childhood memories through the joy I see in my daughters’ eyes. I love everything about it – from writing the letter to Santa through the Christmas decorations and making gingerbread cookies. I hope my kids will keep this magical feeling as well and will share it with their own families one day.

A word from the Wise
Do not hesitate. Act! Believe in yourself, and whatever life brings you will be either a success or a lesson.
My hobbies
Drawing has been one of my passions since I was little. This is “my time” when I can stop thinking and clear my mind from all the daily tasks and pressure. I love it so much and try different techniques and surfaces to point on. I also painted my children’s room some time ago.
The other hobby I started doing during the pandemic was hiking in the mountains. My father was always a big fan of that, but I never had much interest before. And after the first time, it is quite addictive, and I started going every day even when the baby was born, and I carried it in a sling.

Favorite book or movie
The first thing that comes to my mind is always the TV series “Friends”. I can watch the last episode and start over right away. And even though I know every line and every moment, I still laugh like crazy.
If I could switch my job and do anything for a day, what would it be?
I already said my favorite hobby is drawing, and if I have the chance, I want to see what it is like to make it professionally and make a living out of it.
When I was little, I wanted to become…
An archeologist, so I would love to try that as well. I still have a bag of rocks that I have collected from different places during the years. Maybe one day I will learn more about them.
My dream destination
Egypt is on my mind for years and I plan it to be my next destination.
